It is important for BAU-HOW that the industrialization of the building industry is done with respect for architectural, environmental and functional values. For that reason, we have designed a building system that maintains flexibility in the building design so it’s possible to create different, interesting and unique buildings. That’s why we say, That’s why we say that BAU-HOW has standardized the building processes – not the buildings.
BAU-HOWs industrialized building system revolves around the construction of room-sized steel modules from 40 m² to 90 m². In our opinion, a solid steel frame with low tolerances is fundamental for high quality construction with a great finish. The floor frame is filled with concrete to improve the modules resistance to fire and sound transmissions.
The technical standard of our buildings has been set high and, in every aspect, meets the requirements of the Danish, Swedish and Norwegian markets, and the very strict EU regulations which take effect in 2009.
We have created a lean and open construction system that provides freedom in the building layout, choice of materials and architecture. It’s a system that can be challenged by the architect’s design so each building has its own unique identity and where any type of facade can be used.
We are the only company who, just like the car industry, produces entire building projects on a single production line. In this way, we can achieve a high standard of technical construction and craftsmanship while completely removing moisture from the building, which today is the biggest problem in traditional construction
We can build large modules – up to 15x6x4 meters, and with a free span in these modules of up to 8 meters. The modules can be mounted on both cellar walls and traditional foundations.
Since the construction system does not require many resources to produce or assemble, we can offer our customers attractive prices, faster delivery, and shorter building periods.
At BAU-HOW we use the Pluggit heating and ventilation system as standard. Pluggit complies with new international standards regarding energy efficiency, and secures an excellent indoor climate and huge savings in heating.
Our production platform is flexible, with a raster on the welding line down to one millimeter, making our construction system receptive to new thinking, new solutions and new architectural trends.
We have designed a special raising system that enables easy and efficient assembly of the modules. To a large degree, this minimizes possible damage to the building modules during assembly. Each module takes about 10 minutes to erect.
