Bau-How has won the Danish architetural competition Bolig+

Production begins in September 2009

BAU-HOW has entered into a contract to lease a brand new factory from Heimdal Building Systems International AS. The factory is situated in the Freeport only 800 meters from where BAU-HOW is erecting our own factories. This contract allows BAU-HOW to begin production in September 2009.
BAU-HOW select Revit as CAD-platform

During the last quarter BAU-HOW performed an extensive survey of object oriented CAD software. The result of the survey shows that the Revit platform is best suited for BAU-HOW´s industrial engineering and production process.
BAU-HOW has signed an agreement with CAD-Q, who will assist during configuration and implementation of BAU-HOW´s CAD platform.
Patent approvals

In July 2008, BAU-HOW applied for 9 international PCT patent applications on BAU-HOW production machinery, construction elements and technical designs. Since then, three Swedish patents from the initial application round have been issued.
BAU-HOW starts the process to become certified in Norway

BAU-HOW has today agreed with SINTEF Byggforsk to start the process of achieving a standard approval certificate in Norway. The cooperation between SINTEF Byggforsk and BAU-HOW is aiming at reaching a standard approval certificate (teknisk godkjenning) in June 2009. Sverker Andreasson, Building System Manager in BAU-HOW, will be in charge for this project and work closely with SINTEF Byggforsk.

Björn Omreng joins BAU-HOW

We are pleased to announce that Björn Omreng joined the BAU-HOW team with responsibility for Business Affairs, in November, 2008. A lawyer by background, Björn has worked internationally for industrial companies such as Schlumberger, Kvaerner and Skanska. Björn worked as Executive Vice President for Skanska Norge AS from 1999-2008. He says that his oil industry experience has created a strong interest in modular building, also in the construction industry. Björn will work out of the Oslo and Malmö offices.
SVR award winner 2008

We are proud to announce that Sverker Andreasson, BAU-HOW building system manager, is the 2008 award winner of the SVR award.
“With great engineering skills and innovative ability, Sverker has further developed the concept of industrial production within the construction sector. By seeking and daring to implement technologies from other industries into our traditional branch of business, Sverker has made a significant contribution to promote new ways of thinking. He has therefore made an impressive imprint on the construction industry and the way of working within the construction process”.
SVR was founded in 1934, and is a non-political organization comprising of around 3,700 civil engineers.
BAU-HOW choose MS Dynamics AX as our ERP-System

After a thorough evaluation period BAU-HOW has selected Microsoft Dynamics AX as their Enterprise Resource and Planning (ERP-system). BAU-HOW will implement a comprehensive solution covering project management, accounting, production planning, procurement and logistics.
BAU-HOW has signed an agreement with Åhus Studiodata, who will assist during configuration and implementation of the ERP-system.
